The Decline of Its Entity

Decline of Institutions

The decline of institutions has reached a point where no better term than ‘wear and tear’ can describe the administrative and regulatory situation of the country.

Wear and tear is a condition where a car, building, or even personal and social relationships are continuously used and consumed without much attention to their essential needs for repair and rejuvenation.

When a building is not repaired at the slightest malfunction and damage it faces, it will not take long before it becomes uninhabitable and deteriorated.

If a car travels daily with many passengers on rough roads and for long hours without its parts being repaired or updated, it will quickly wear out and eventually either crash, break down, or reach a point where it is beyond repair and reconstruction.

The reality is that our administrative and regulatory system has more or less fallen into this situation.

The helicopter crash incident, as a soft and hard example of this wear and tear due to its high news importance, has received significant attention, yet we face various evidences of this wear and tear on a daily basis.

One of the significant aspects is seen in administrative corruption.

Corruption in a worn-out administrative system occurs more than in a healthy administrative system.

Just like various harmful animals make nests in the crevices and cavities of old buildings.

Another important example of this deterioration can be seen in the country’s education system.

While the minister claims that Iran is a role model for the world, this statement reflects the utmost intellectual and mental deterioration. However, at the same time, they were unable to issue the final exam entry cards to students, so they postponed the exams, showing that they are also suffering from hardware fatigue.

Of course, this piece was not deteriorated from the beginning, but it was inappropriate and did not have the necessary functionality.

We thought the exam issue was resolved, but unfortunately today’s special report is about severe irregularities in the final exam areas, which happened due to the incompetence and delay in issuing entry cards, leaving many students unable to take the exam. In this regard, discussions have been held with students and families.

The reality is that there is no longer anyone to review the performance of this worn-out ministry, and it is unlikely that others will have the opportunity to provide even a short answer about a matter that affects the fate of millions of students and their families.

But the most interesting aspect of fatigue should be seen in the Consultative Assembly, where representatives with only 3% of the voting rights of Tehranis were present.

The story is that they couldn’t count about 280 ballot papers for electing the presiding board members of the parliament, and their counting error was about 30% of the total votes. It is not clear whether this change was intentional or due to inefficiency and incompetence. Now we have to ask how a parliament that is unable to count this small number of votes in the first step can legislate for the people and complex issues. This indicates the complete fatigue of an official institution.

Actually, fatigue is deeper when we know they will say it is not important and it was a mistake.

Interestingly, as a result of the recount, one of the elected members was also removed, and another one took his place. Ignoring these fatigues has relegated it to the erosion abyss.

The question is, what is the reason? Is the main cause discrimination in the selection of unqualified human resources, or is it through the selection of unqualified individuals, or through the rejection of qualified candidates? How do you think such a parliament can appoint a more efficient force as a minister than itself?
