The Deputy Mayor of Tehran Claims that the Metro CEO Has Not Resigned and Takes Hourly Leaves

The deputy mayor of Tehran claims that the CEO of the metro company has not resigned and has taken hourly leave.

The deputy of transportation and traffic of Tehran Municipality explained the reason for the absence of the CEO of Tehran Metro Operation Company in today’s council meeting, stating that Mr. Dorosti has taken hourly leave.

Following the absence of Masoud Dorosti, the CEO of Tehran Metro Operation Company, in today’s Tuesday session of Tehran City Council to provide explanations about recent incidents in the metro, and after Mehdi Chamran, the council’s chairman, mentioned the resignation of the CEO due to criticism from Tehran City Council members, Mohsen Hormozi, the deputy of transportation and traffic of Tehran Municipality, explained the reason for Dorosti’s absence in the council.

In response to the question about why Dorosti, the CEO of the metro company, was not present, Hormozi said that Mr. Dorosti was present at his workplace yesterday and is currently on hourly leave, and his resignation is denied.

Hormozi, in response to another question about whether the council had not invited him to be present at the council to provide necessary explanations regarding the metro breakdown, reiterated that Dorosti has taken hourly leave.

Mohsen Hormozi then left the council after providing these responses.
