The European Union will provide 150 million euros in aid to Afghanistan.
The European Union has allocated 150 million euros in emergency humanitarian aid to Afghanistan this year.
The European Union stated that 126 million euros of this financial assistance will be provided to active partners inside Afghanistan and also for preparedness for natural disasters.
According to the report, over 11 million euros will be allocated for the needs of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and around 11 million euros for humanitarian organizations in Iran.
Up to 14.5 million euros of this fund is earmarked for emergency education.
8 million children and adolescents in Afghanistan are in need of educational assistance, including 1.4 million girls who are deprived of access to secondary schools.
Abdul Latif Nazari, the Deputy Minister of Economy in the Taliban government, has welcomed the European Union’s aid and stated to the state radio that global community assistance should be provided to the Taliban government so that it can be used according to its priorities.
