The head of the national broadcasting company does not allow platforms to broadcast the football matches of the national cups.
Recently, a letter signed by one of the managers of the satellite company was addressed to the platforms via a special line, in which it was emphasized that none of the platforms have the right to live stream the matches of the Asian national cups.
The delivery of this letter to some platforms that had attracted sponsors for broadcasting the relevant matches has caused them severe grievances, as they now have to compensate for the contract termination with the sponsor because they are unable to live stream.
It is unclear why the national broadcasting company, which itself grants licenses to the platforms through the satellite company, imposes such explicit restrictions on them. If there are so many limitations even for the simple live broadcast of a football match, then what is the need for issuing platform licenses at all?
It is interesting that during important sports events, from cafes to coffee houses and restaurants, they have the ability to live stream football matches and generate income, but they don’t even consider platforms as worthy as a coffee house owner.
