The Islamic Republic newspaper did well, as neither a cleric nor a military figure became the president.
The Islamic Republic newspaper wrote about the election of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian as the ninth president, emphasizing two important issues. The first issue is that he fulfills his promises and brings about real changes in areas that are of interest to the people. Achieving this goal requires his exceptional attention to the individuals who will cooperate with him.
The second issue is the resistance that will be faced against creating and implementing changes. There is no doubt that some individuals will oppose any changes that may harm their interests and will resist strongly against it.
Another point that should be noted on the sidelines of these elections is that in the fourteenth presidential election period, two factions, the military and the clergy, failed to reach the country’s top executive position. The military and religious figures should consider this event positively and see it as a positive aspect of these elections.
In the 1400 presidential election, we repeatedly emphasized that military personnel should not get involved in executive affairs. We have many reasons for this viewpoint, which we raised in the 1400 elections. Fortunately, the people have shown in several elections that they do not have a desire for military personnel to become president. For this reason, it is expected that military individuals, both retired and non-retired, will not harbor ambitions to run for the presidency in the future and understand that people will not vote for them.
