Turkey restricts exports of goods to Israel

The Turkish Ministry of Commerce announced the beginning of restrictions on the export of 54 types of goods to Israel due to the ongoing attacks by Israel on Gaza since Tuesday, April 10.

Israel immediately threatened in response that friendly countries to Israel, including the United States, will be encouraged to cut investments in Turkey to worsen Turkey’s economy from its current situation.

According to the statement from the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, the restricted export items to Israel include profiles, aluminum wire, copper wire, colored pipes, steel fittings, parts for steel stairs, glass, construction machinery, ceramics, airplane fuel, and jet fuel.

The Turkish Ministry of Commerce added in its statement that these restrictions will continue until Israel implements an immediate ceasefire and allows sufficient and uninterrupted aid to be sent to the Gaza Strip to demonstrate that the government and people of Turkey will always stand by Palestine.
