The US military has announced that it has destroyed 11 Houthi drones.

US Central Command announced on Thursday, April 22, that US forces destroyed 11 Houthi drones.

Centcom wrote on social media that between 4:15 and 6 am on Thursday, forces under its command destroyed one drone over the Red Sea and two other drones over the Gulf of Aden.

The report adds that these attacks caused no casualties or damage.

US Central Command also stated that around 8 pm, US forces destroyed eight drones in areas controlled by the Houthis.

According to Centcom, US forces identified and determined that these drones posed an immediate threat to US commercial ships and naval vessels.

US Central Command further stated that these actions are taken to protect freedom of navigation and to make international waters safer for the US Navy and commercial ships.
