The Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban has ordered the creation of two temporary camps at the Torkham border crossing.
Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Taliban’s Prime Minister, visited the Torkham border crossing and promised assistance to Afghans returning from Pakistan.
Mr. Hanafi, who is also the head of a high commission composed of several ministries to address the issues of returning migrants from Pakistan, went to Torkham on Wednesday with a delegation.
In this delegation, Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Minister of Information and Culture, Khalilur Rahman Haqqani, the Minister of Migrants and Returnees, and Abdul Qadir Ahmad, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Assets of the Taliban, are also present.
Mr. Hanafi has ordered the creation of two temporary camps, one near the Torkham town and the other in the Daga area of Lalpura district in Nangarhar.
The ARG newsletter, published in X, states that the forced deportation program of Pakistan goes against all norms of good neighborliness and human compassion.
