Italy hopes that any response from Israel against Iran will be targeted and not escalate tensions.

Italy’s Foreign Minister said on Friday that Israel is likely to take retaliatory action in response to Iran’s missile and drone attack. He also expressed hope that any response from Israel would be targeted and not escalate tensions.

Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting, told reporters that our request is always for caution and tension reduction. We hope that Israel’s response, which is likely on the way, will be a targeted response and not something that escalates the situation.
