A French senator accepted the political sponsorship of Mehdi Bahman

Julien Bargeton, a French senator, announced on his Twitter account that he has taken on the political sponsorship of Mehdi Bahman, the imprisoned Iranian writer.

In this text, published in Persian on the French senator’s account, it is stated that Mehdi Bahman has been sentenced to espionage and execution solely for giving an interview to Israel’s Channel 13.

Mehdi Bahman, an Iranian writer and illustrator, was arrested during the nationwide protests in Iran in October of this year following an interview with Israel’s Channel 13 and was transferred to Evin Prison. He was sentenced to execution shortly after.
