A joint film directed by Zarrin Amir Ebrahimi and an Israeli director

Zarrin Amir Ebrahimi, a well-known Iranian actress, and Guy Natiyev, an Israeli director, have collaborated on a new film that explores the government’s ban on Iranian athletes competing against Israeli rivals.

According to reports, the film is titled ‘Untitled Judo’ and tells the story of Leila, a female Iranian judo champion who, despite having a chance to win a gold medal in a match against an Israeli athlete, is pressured by the government to falsely claim that she is unable to fight due to an injury.

Arian Mendi plays the role of Leila, and Zarrin Amir Ebrahimi portrays her coach.
