A labor activist indicates that statistics show higher inflation compared to last year

Abdollah Belvasi, a labor activist, protested against this year’s wage decree for workers, saying that while the thirteenth government has imposed a meager 35% increase on workers and wage earners, all statistics and figures, even governmental ones, indicate higher inflation and prices compared to last year.

This labor activist stated that large employers, in order to keep their costs down, employ non-Iranian and illegal workers at low wages and even allow them to work in exchange for illegal residency with much lower wages.

Belvasi stated that workers and wage earners are entering the new year while from the very early days of the year, we are witnessing a further decline in the value of the rial, and the fall of the rial leads to an increase in the prices of all public necessities, which is a cost that workers and wage earners have to bear.
