Although state media writes about controlling inflation and reducing its intensity, the newspaper Jomhouri Eslami has reported that the annual inflation rate for August 2022 for households in the country has reached 415 percent, showing a 1 percent increase compared to the previous month

The newspaper added that according to the announcement by the Statistical Center of Iran, the point-to-point inflation rate also reached 522 percent in August this year, meaning that households in the country, on average, spent 522 percent more than in August 2021 for purchasing the same set of goods and services
