A floating vessel carrying 70,000 liters of contraband fuel was seized in the Persian Gulf.
The Chief Justice of Hormozgan Province announced the seizure of a fleet of fuel-carrying vessels by the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guards in the waters of the Persian Gulf.
He stated that, in coordination with the head of the judicial district of Parsian County and in line with the implementation of the anti-fuel smuggling plan to strike at the financial foundations of smugglers, the combatants of the naval unit 412 Zolfaqar of the fourth region of the Revolutionary Guards’ navy seized a fleet of fuel-carrying vessels in the waters of the Persian Gulf and towards the western shores of the province.
The Chief Justice of Hormozgan Province noted the arrest of five individuals in this regard, mentioning that the detainees are being held in detention for the completion of investigations and legal proceedings through the issuance of judicial security orders.
He also stated that during the inspection of this vessel, more than 70,000 liters of contraband fuel were discovered and confiscated.
It was reminded that the seized fuels from this vessel are handed over to the oil distribution company according to legal procedures and enter the legal distribution cycle.
