A vessel carrying 70,000 liters of smuggled fuel was seized in the Persian Gulf

The Chief Justice of Hormozgan announced the seizure of a vessel carrying smuggled fuel by the IRGC Navy in the Persian Gulf waters

He stated that with the coordination of the head of the Parsian County judiciary and in line with the fuel smuggling combat plan to strike at the financial foundations of smugglers, the 412 Zolfaghar naval unit warriors of the fourth region of the IRGC Navy, after identifying a vessel carrying smuggled fuel in the Persian Gulf waters and at the far western coasts of the province, took action to seize it

The Chief Justice of Hormozgan noted the arrest of five individuals in this regard and emphasized that the arrested individuals are in custody with a judicial bail order to complete the investigation process and undergo trial procedures

He also stated that more than 70,000 liters of smuggled fuel were discovered and seized during the inspection of this vessel

Ghahremani reminded that the discovered fuel from this vessel, according to legal procedures and a judicial order, has been handed over to the oil products distribution company and will enter the legal distribution cycle
