Abbas Araqchi: There is no plan to negotiate with the United States

Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, announced on Wednesday that any potential negotiations with the United States will only be conducted within the framework of Iran’s nuclear file.

Speaking to reporters, he said the missile issue has always been raised, but the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard is clear.

If there is ever to be a dialogue, it will only be within the framework of the nuclear issue.

Araqchi added that currently there is no plan to negotiate with the United States and described Majid Takht-Ravanchi’s recent trip to Oman as part of periodic political dialogues, which are unrelated to potential negotiations with Washington.

Since the U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Washington has not shown much interest in dialogue with Tehran, although American officials claim that Iran is still seeking to reach an agreement.
