A driver attacked Hossein Askari with brass knuckles

ISNA news agency reported that Hossein Askari, an experienced Iranian cyclist, was attacked by a driver during training and suffered an eye injury.

Hossein Askari explained the incident, saying, ‘I was training with a few other cyclists on Qaemshahr military road when two cars were passing by. The driver sprayed pepper spray towards me and Pouria Yaghoubi, another cyclist, and then struck me in the eye with brass knuckles.’

ISNA also published a photo of this cyclist showing the bruise on his eye.

Mr. Askari stated that the driver is currently on the run, and he is pursuing the matter.
