According to an Iranian official, 617 people have been killed in Nowruz traffic accidents.

Colonel Ahmad Shirani announced that from February 21 to March 30, 506 accidents have been recorded on Iran’s roads.

He stated that the most accidents occurred in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

One of the deadliest accidents happened on Thursday on the Jandagh-Moallem road in Semnan, where 9 passengers from two vehicles were killed. The only survivor of this incident is a five-year-old child.
