Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran says if Iran faces a serious threat, it will change its nuclear doctrine.
Reuters reported that Kamal Kharazi, advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told Al-Mayadeen TV on Friday, November 2, that Tehran will increase the range of its ballistic missiles and the possibility of changing its nuclear doctrine remains on the table.
According to Reuters, the advisor to Ali Khamenei, referring to the Israeli attack on Iran on October 27, added that the Islamic Republic of Iran will certainly respond to Israel’s aggression at the right time and place.
Kamal Kharazi, referring to the possibility of a change in Iran’s nuclear doctrine, said if Iran faces an existential threat, its nuclear doctrine may change.
Mr. Kharazi emphasized that we currently have the necessary technical capabilities to produce nuclear weapons, but the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s decree prohibits it.
On the morning of October 27, in response to Iran’s attack on its territory on October 2 this year, Israel targeted a number of defense sites and military centers of the Islamic Republic.
