Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture: The permit for the Miankaleh petrochemical project has been revoked

The permit for the Miankaleh petrochemical project, which sparked numerous controversies and criticisms, has finally been revoked by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The advisor to the Minister of Agriculture said that reclaiming the land is an administrative process. To review and resolve this important issue in accordance with the regulations, a written request has been made by the Mazandaran Province Agricultural Organization to the Mazandaran Governor’s Office to hold a session of the Article 21 Commission.

In this letter, it has been requested that the Article 21 Commission for Non-Agricultural Projects on the allocation of national and state-owned lands hold a meeting.

In this session, decisions will be made in compliance with the relevant laws, regulations, and standards, and the necessary actions will be subsequently taken.

The President has ordered the halt of the project’s implementation, and the matter is being pursued with seriousness.
