Aghatehrani: There is no justification for compromising on hijab

Morteza Aghatehrani, head of the Parliament’s Cultural Commission, stated that the issue of chastity and hijab has a religious aspect, which is its own matter, and a legal aspect, where someone might say they have no religion. Well, you may not have one, but our country has laws. This issue was approved 43 years ago by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, but for various reasons, some people did not comply.

There should be 32 agencies addressing this issue, but unfortunately, only 2 agencies, namely the Ministry of Interior and the police, have taken action. The police are actively engaged. Chastity and hijab have political, ethical, social, religious, and legal dimensions, and therefore, there is no justification for compromising on it.
