100 rabbis urge Netanyahu to agree to ceasefire and prisoner exchange

Israeli Channel Kan reported that over 100 American Jewish rabbis have requested Benjamin Netanyahu in letters to agree to a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange.

According to Kan’s announcement, the letter states that accepting the agreement is a Jewish and ethical imperative that must be done now.

The letter from this number of rabbis to Netanyahu comes after Yuval Galant, Israel’s Minister of Defense, recently stated in a meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee of the Israeli Parliament that Israel is the cause of the lack of agreement, and Netanyahu’s statements about absolute victory are misleading and provocative, which angered Netanyahu.

Galant had previously said multiple times that Netanyahu is trying to maintain his political position even if it comes at the expense of Israel’s security against Hamas.
