Ahmad Vahidi, the Minister of Interior, says there are approximately 5 million foreign nationals in Iran.

The Minister of Interior has stated that about 5 million foreign nationals are present in Iran.

Brigadier General Vahidi said that illegal foreign nationals must return to their own countries, and those who have permission to stay must be organized.

Earlier this week, the Iranian Minister of Education also mentioned that about 600,000 students in Iran are foreign nationals.

The majority of foreign nationals in Iran are migrants from Afghanistan. After the fall of the national government and the resurgence of the Taliban, the number of migrants from this country to Iran has increased.
