Aircraft Carrier USS George H.W. Bush Joins U.S. Operations in Iran

Multiple sources have told CBS News that the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush, which acts as a floating air base and can carry over 80 aircraft, will join U.S. forces in the region.

According to American officials, this carrier and its strike group completed pre-deployment training earlier this month and are now ready to join U.S. operations in Iran.

Meanwhile, two guided-missile destroyers, USS Donald Cook and USS Mason, have also left U.S. shores this week to join this operation.

Reports also indicate that another destroyer, USS Ross, has been deployed from the U.S. around the same time, although its destination has not yet been announced.
