Al Jazeera: The disagreement between Tehran and Washington over uranium reserves continues

An Iranian source told Al Jazeera that the United States, in its recent proposal, has demanded the handover of Iran’s 60% enriched uranium reserves.

According to this source, Washington opposed the transfer of these reserves to Russia and suggested that the uranium be moved to a third country.

The source added that Iran has rejected removing the uranium reserves from its soil but is ready to reduce the enrichment level under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

According to this report, Tehran is prepared to dilute the high-enriched uranium reserves to levels of 20% and 37%.

The source also said that the United States has demanded a 20-year halt to enrichment in Iran, but Tehran has rejected this request.

According to this Iranian source, Washington has also opposed paying war reparations to Iran.
