Ali Larijani met with the Emir of Qatar in Doha

Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, met and talked with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in Doha on Wednesday, February 11.

This meeting took place a day after Larijani’s visit to the UAE and as part of efforts to find a diplomatic solution to Iran’s nuclear issue and to prevent a military attack by the United States.

A few hours before this meeting, the Emir of Qatar had spoken with Donald Trump, the President of the United States.

In a few hours, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is scheduled to meet with Donald Trump in Washington. Netanyahu has stated that the negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic are at the center of the talks.
