Ali Larijani: A Temporary Leadership Council is Being Formed
Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, announced in a recorded interview broadcasted on the news channel that today efforts are being made to form a temporary leadership council to carry out the responsibilities assigned to them according to the constitution.
He referred to Article 111 of the constitution, stating that if, for any reason, the society lacks a leader, temporarily, the President, the head of the judiciary, and one of the jurists of the Guardian Council, chosen by the Expediency Discernment Council, will assume the leadership duties until the next leader is chosen. Larijani added that this process will be conducted as soon as possible.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council also spoke about the casualties of recent attacks, saying that in the previous war, we had high casualties. Yesterday, this volume of casualties did not occur. The armed forces entered with strength, resulting in the fewest casualties and fatalities, with less than four or five people killed.
