Amnesty International: The international world order is on the brink of collapse
Amnesty International announced in a report on Wednesday that the post-World War II global order is on the verge of collapse, with bitter conflicts on multiple fronts and the unrestrained growth of artificial intelligence threatening this world order.
Agnès Callamard, the Secretary-General of Amnesty International, in an interview with Agence France-Presse about the annual report of this organization titled ‘The State of the World’s Human Rights’, said that all the evidence and indications from the past 12 months suggest that the international world order is on the brink of collapse. Especially in the past six months, the United States has protected and covered up for Israeli officials against numerous aggressions occurring in Gaza under their oversight. By using the veto power in the United Nations Security Council regarding a ceasefire in Gaza, the United States has emptied the council of its existential meaning and primary duty.
