Fire Breaks Out Again in Girls’ Student Dormitory
The spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department and Safety Services announced on Monday, September 3rd, that a fire had broken out in a girls’ student dormitory on Jamalzadeh Street in Tehran.
Jalal Maleki stated that the cause of the incident was a cooler catching fire on the first floor of the dormitory building and mentioned that 11 residents were evacuated by firefighters without any injuries.
Maleki further added that units from two stations were dispatched to the scene and managed to control the fire, which was on the first floor of this private student dormitory. The dormitory had 60 rooms, with 10 located on the first floor, and 4 people living in each room.
The spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department also emphasized the necessity of monitoring educational institutions with the start of the school and university season in Iran.
Previously, on the evening of Friday, August 31st, another girls’ dormitory on Keshavarz Boulevard in Tehran was engulfed in flames, resulting in one injury.
