Confirmation of Public Transportation Fare Increase in the Capital
The deputy of urban affairs of the Tehran governorate announced the approval of new rates for public transportation fares for the coming year by the Tehran Coordination Council.
Saeed Bashiri explained the process of approving the 1403 public transportation fares in the capital and the decision of the Tehran City Council in the Tehran Coordination Council, stating that the approved public transportation fares by the Tehran City Council were reviewed in the Tehran Coordination Council and ultimately approved.
He added that since the figures were lower than the inflation rate, there were no issues, but there were some legal points in the resolution that were communicated to the Tehran City Council to address. Therefore, the figures approved for public transportation fares in the Tehran City Council reached the approval of the Tehran Coordination Council.
The deputy of urban affairs of the Tehran governorate emphasized that for the coming year, based on the Tehran City Council resolution, there will be a 28% increase in the metro sector, a 26% increase in the bus sector, and a 45% increase in the taxi sector.
