Araghchi called the attack on the Iranian vessel by Ukraine unintentional and pledged not to escalate tensions.

Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister, announced that Andriy Sybiha, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, assured him in a phone call that the attack on the Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea was unintentional and Kyiv has no desire to escalate tensions.

In a message on the social network X, Araghchi wrote that Iran also does not seek to escalate tensions but emphasized in this conversation that any aggression against Iranian citizens or interests is unacceptable.

The Foreign Minister also stated that Iran demands full compensation for the damages and losses resulting from this attack.
