Araqchi: Fair negotiations are not possible due to the US approach

Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, said on Thursday in an interview with IRIB about his trip to Paris and negotiations with European parties that his trip to Paris is a continuation of consultations and discussions that we have with this country on various matters.

Araqchi, referring to the negotiations that have taken place, said that of course we have differences of opinion with France on various issues, but at the same time, political dialogues have always been ongoing, and dialogue is a necessary and obvious matter in international relations.

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, regarding the talks on the nuclear issue, said that we had extensive discussions on the nuclear topic, and I explained the country’s positions. Currently, a balanced and fair negotiation is not possible due to the US approach.

He emphasized that the Islamic Republic has always been ready to negotiate, and we have never abandoned the diplomatic scene, but negotiation has its own rules, and it can only take place or be successful if its rules are observed.
