Araqchi mocked the increase in US sanctions
Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, reacted to the new sanctions from Washington by writing that after 47 years of imposing sanctions, the US has, according to him, entered a war with Iran on behalf of Israel, a war that has had serious consequences for America’s global standing and credibility.
He added that after failing to achieve its goals through sanctions and war, Washington has now once again resorted to imposing more sanctions, and with a sarcastic tone wrote, ‘Is this your innovative solution? Are you serious?’
