In this conversation, Abbas Araqchi stressed the need to prevent any hostile forces from using foreign bases located in Cyprus against Iran.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Konstantinos Kombos, the Cypriot Foreign Minister, also stated that his country has ensured through contact with the British government that foreign bases located in Cyprus will not be used against any country, including Iran.
