Araqchi in conversation with his French counterpart: The behavior of two French diplomats in Tehran is unacceptable
Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, in a phone conversation with Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French Foreign Minister, objected to what he called the unconventional and contrary to diplomatic norms actions of two French diplomats in Tehran, considering these behaviors unacceptable. He emphasized that adhering to the laws and regulations of the host country is a condition for the continuation of foreign representations’ activities.
According to the government’s information website, Araqchi asked the French government to take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such actions.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic also claimed that the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is the result of the United States’ breach of commitments and its provocative actions, stating that the responsibility for the consequences of this situation lies with the party that, by deviating from agreements, has endangered the diplomatic process and regional stability.
