Araqchi: Iran’s attacks are within the framework of legitimate defense
Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, referred to the recent attacks by the Islamic Republic on targets in the region, stating that Iran’s armed forces are acting within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense.
In a message, he announced that our armed forces are conducting defensive attacks against locations that are being used by the United States to attack civilian shipping and violate ceasefire agreements.
Araqchi also warned that any hostile action will be met with an immediate and decisive response.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further emphasized that what sanctions and war could not achieve will not be achieved through more war either.
These statements come after Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, praised the cooperation of some Arab countries in the region with Washington during a congressional hearing, saying that our allies in the region have shown a very extensive level of cooperation. Some of them, including the United Arab Emirates, have cooperated with a very active and serious approach, and Kuwait has also performed excellently.
