Argentinian Goalkeeper’s Heavy Cost to Protect Championship Medal

The goalkeeper of Argentina’s national team has spent a significant amount to protect his championship medal from the 2022 World Cup.

According to Marca, Emiliano Martinez, the Albiceleste’s goalkeeper, who was one of the main factors in the team’s victory at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has purchased a very expensive breed of guard dog to keep his championship medal and the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper safe.

The 35-year-old Aston Villa goalkeeper, whose controversial celebrations during the Albiceleste’s victory festivities in Qatar and Argentina sparked a huge uproar and faced him with a wave of criticism, has bought a dog for 20,000 pounds. This dog, a Belgian Malinois breed, which was previously used by U.S. Navy SEALs, will guard the home where Martinez’s championship medals and family members reside.
