Armed attack in Kahnuj
According to local officials, an armed man’s attack on two ambulances in Kahnuj resulted in the death of two people and the injury of two others.
Ali Shabani, the governor of Kahnuj, stated that one of the victims had been released from prison on Wednesday, but his cousin shot and injured him.
According to this report, the attacker mistakenly targeted an ambulance, thinking it was carrying his cousin, and injured a nurse and a staff member of Kahnuj hospital, then attacked another ambulance, killing his cousin along with another person.
The governor of Kahnuj explained the background of this family dispute, saying the cousins had previously fought over family disagreements, during which one of them was killed by the same victim. Today, the killer attacked his cousin in retaliation for his brother’s death.
