Arrest of naval thieves in military uniforms in the Persian Gulf

The commander of the border guards of Hormozgan province announced on Friday, the 8th of Dey, the arrest of two naval thieves wearing military uniforms and carrying weapons near Larak Island, close to Qeshm County.

Bahador Esmaeili stated that these two individuals have a history of theft and were stealing plastic containers known as ‘moshk mari’ in the sea.

According to the commander of the border guards of Hormozgan province, a naval patrol group near Larak Island noticed suspicious movements of a boat and upon inspection, they discovered a handheld wireless device, two hand-held radios, 56 guns in two gun stocks, and a holster with five guns.

Larak Island is one of the islands in Hormozgan province and is the fourth largest island in Iran, located southeast of Qeshm Island and southwest of Hormuz Island.
