The General Directorate of Public Diplomacy and Information of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran wrote in a statement yesterday, October 23, about the infiltration of a hacking group into the email of one of its subsidiary companies
The content published on social media regarding the infiltration into the email server of the Atomic Energy Production and Development Company was aimed at attracting public attention and creating media hype
According to the report received from the IT unit of the parent company specialized in Atomic Energy Production and Development, unauthorized access from a specific foreign country to the email system of this company led to the publication of the content of some emails in cyberspace
Following this, the IT unit of the Atomic Energy Production and Development Company, based on the anticipated arrangements and in the shortest possible time, took necessary and preventive actions and examined the issue from various aspects, providing its initial report to the officials of the Atomic Energy Organization. It should be noted that the content in the users’ emails contains technical messages and routine daily exchanges. It is obvious that the purpose of such illegal attempts, carried out out of desperation, is to attract public attention, create media hype, and conduct psychological operations, and they hold no other value.
