The Javan newspaper, associated with the Revolutionary Guards, has addressed the arrest of Taraneh Alidoosti on its front page, publishing a list of names of protesting actors and filmmakers, labeling them as agents.
In a report titled ‘Of course, the place for an anti-security actor is not the cinema,’ the newspaper wrote that an actor’s place is not in prison, but someone who plays with security should expect appropriate consequences.
Javan, defending the arrest of Taraneh Alidoosti, wrote that when we are supposed to play a security role, we must also bear the costs of this game, and this type of acting might lead to a prison location.
The newspaper named Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, Peyman Maadi, Azadeh Samadi, Sahar Dolatshahi, Leili Rashidi, Mitra Hajjar, Ghazal Shakeri, and Hengameh Ghaziani as Taraneh Alidoosti’s tribe members who have shared political interests.
