Attorney Mohammad Ghabadlu, Opposed to Death Sentence, Has Filed for Retrial and an Order to Suspend Execution Must Be Issued

The lawyer for Mohammad Ghobadlou, who is sentenced to death, has registered a request for a retrial, and an order to halt the execution should be issued.

Amir Raeesian, the lawyer for Mohammad Ghobadlou, says that a retrial request has been registered, and according to the law, as soon as this request is received, the Supreme Court must issue an order to stop the execution of the death sentence.

He has also published a copy of the retrial registration certificate on Twitter. The judiciary has not released any news regarding this matter.

After news of the transfer of Mohammad Ghobadlou and Mohammad Borougeni to solitary confinement and concerns about their imminent execution, a group gathered today in protest in front of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
