The lawyer for Saman Seyedi’s medical case has not been referred to the forensic medicine.

The lawyer for Saman Seyedi, the protesting singer, says that despite this political prisoner being eligible for non-custodial punishment, Mr. Seyedi’s medical case has not yet been referred to forensic medicine, preventing his release.

Ramin Safarnia, an attorney, wrote on the social network X, formerly Twitter, on Friday, May 4th, that according to the report from Razi Hospital in Tehran sent to Ghezel Hesar Prison, his client’s illnesses are evident.

Mr. Safarnia stated that the prison doctor told his client that with this report, he qualifies for non-custodial punishment. He added that Saman Seyedi told him over the phone that the judge of Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court has announced that no report indicating the specialist doctor’s opinion has yet been sent to the Revolutionary Court.

On April 22nd, it was announced that with the ruling of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, Saman Seyedi Yasin has been sentenced to five years in exile in one of the cities of Kerman Province.
