The Australian government is imposing targeted sanctions against five Iranian individuals and three other entities, including the IRGC, in response to Iran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel in April and its destabilizing activities in the Middle East.

In a statement released by the Australian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 (25th of Ordibehesht, 1403), the IRGC was described as a rogue actor that has long been a threat to international security and its own people.
