According to Iranian news agencies, with Khodadad Afsharian, the head of the referees committee, announcing, Mahsa Ghorbani will be one of the VAR referees in the match between Esteghlal and Persepolis.

Therefore, Ms. Ghorbani will be the first female referee in the history of Tehran Derbies.

Persepolis and Esteghlal Tehran will face each other in the return leg of the Iran Pro League on 23rd of Esfand in the 103rd Tehran Derby.
