Axios: Iran has rejected the Lebanese militia’s request to attack Israel.

Axios, citing two Israeli officials and a Western diplomat, reported that the Lebanese militia, amidst rising tensions with Israel, has asked the Islamic Republic of Iran to attack Israel, but the Islamic Republic has so far refrained from doing so.

The two Israeli officials told Axios that officials from the Islamic Republic have informed their partners in the Lebanese militia that due to Masoud Pezeshkian’s presence in New York, now is not the right time to attack Israel.

A senior Israeli official also told Axios that the Israeli security cabinet has instructed its military to avoid actions that might give the Islamic Republic of Iran an excuse to join the war.
