Axios reports that the Biden administration has blocked the transfer of U.S.-made weapons shipments to Israel.
Two Israeli sources have told Axios news website that last week, the Biden administration blocked the transfer of U.S.-made weapons shipments to Israel.
This is the first time since the start of the Gaza war in mid-October last year that the U.S. government has prevented weapons from being transferred to Israel.
On Sunday, May 6, Axios reported, citing Israeli sources, that the halt in the shipment of weapons has caused concerns within the Israeli government and prompted officials to find out why the shipment was stopped.
The news of the halt in weapons shipments to Israel was revealed two days after dozens of Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives sent a letter to the President from their party, urging him to pressure Israel regarding its actions in the Gaza war and to stop arms sales to the country.
