Axios: The White House does not consider Iran’s new response sufficient for an agreement

The Axios website, citing a senior American official, reported that the White House does not find Iran’s latest response in negotiations sufficient to reach a peace agreement.

According to this official, the new proposal that has reached Washington through Pakistani mediators only includes symbolic and minor changes compared to Tehran’s previous positions.

He warned that if Iran does not change its stance, the U.S. might continue the negotiations through bombing.

This American official also said that no sanctions will be lifted without reciprocal action from Iran, and Washington desires firm and detailed talks about Iran’s nuclear program.

Meanwhile, Reuters, citing an Iranian official, reported that the U.S. has shown softer positions on some issues, including the release of part of Iran’s frozen assets and the continuation of peaceful nuclear activities under the agency’s supervision.
