Bank Tejarat has not yet decided to buy Esteghlal

Bank Tejarat has not yet decided to buy Esteghlal.

The name of Bank Tejarat, as the buyer of the 51% stake in Esteghlal, has been constantly heard in the past two weeks. In response today, the Publishers’ Office, which controls the integrity of transactions, has expressed its opinion for the first time about a possible purchase.

In the letters received, it is written that negotiations have been held with various banks in the country regarding the purchase of shares of both Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs, and Bank Tejarat has not yet reached a specific conclusion on buying Esteghlal shares. If a decision is made in this regard, it will inform its shareholders.

Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs have until early Ordibehesht to resolve the issue of their joint ownership and upload the documents to the Asian Football Confederation system in order to obtain a license to participate in the next season’s professional league or the second tier of the Champions League.
