Baghaei: Iran and Oman’s negotiations about the Strait of Hormuz are progressing positively

Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, evaluated the negotiations between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz as positive and stated that these discussions are continuing at both technical and political levels.

Baghaei added that the main focus of the negotiations is on determining safe passage routes for ships, and the final results will be announced after the conclusion and finalization of the agreements.

These statements are made while Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, has reported progress in the negotiations regarding ship passage in the Strait of Hormuz, but has said that a final agreement has not yet been reached. Additionally, Scott Bassett, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, announced that an agreement on reopening the Strait of Hormuz might be reached by Wednesday.
